Every true vision will be tested for authenticity. If your vision is authentic, life is going to try it, just to make sure. If a vision is stopped or terminated by trials or tests, then perhaps it was not really a vision from God. PROCRASTINATION We are all guilty of procrastinating at some point or other; no one is a stranger to it, right? Some of us might be lucky enough to identify it in time and still do something about it. Unfortunately for others, it steals dreams and can even destroy lives. The reason we procrastinate varies from person to person and is not always obvious. Sometimes it is a hidden fear that we don’t want to acknowledge, or it could even be as simple as not wanting to do something because it just doesn’t motivate us. Whatever the reason may be, if you know you are a procrastinator, be careful: it has far more damaging effects than you may realize.

So I was in a cab today, I was going out of school with a friend of mine. She was meant to drop before me. So as she was about dropping, she gave the cab man 60 naira in place of the 50 naira it was meant to be. The cab man didn’t have change so he dismissed her. The other passengers started complaining against the cab man accusing cab drivers of always withholding people’s change. One lady in front spoke more strongly than the rest, not giving the cab man time to explain. I personally wasn’t interested in this exchange till the cab man said something that caught my attention. “Stop talking. You are a lady.” I wasn’t sure whether this statement annoyed or humbled me. I’m guessing it humbled me. This here was a man who understood the meaning of gender roles. If you want to achieve greatness, stop asking for permission.       Looking at the subject it looks tricky and weird too but, some of us don’t really live our lives we live the life someone else has designed for us. We worry too much about what these people would say, we subject ourselves to them to the extent that we turn them to gods our small idols and we tend to ask permission from them before we do anything.      There is a place of a mentor and a mentee, that’s for another day, to be a mentee does not mean you are supposed to be a robot automatically defaulted to the configuration of your mentor, that’s not part of this subject but, to become great you really need to take that chance, make that move and stop asking everybody for permission.      If you keep asking for permission from everybody, you wouldn’t become the great person you are designed to be, because, the discouragement would always be more than the encouragement. Face the music even if you don’t like the tune     Many of us love to assume or should I say take leadership positions, but hate to dance to that sour tune that plays along it when things are not really moving smoothly       As a leader, you would be faced with so many tunes, the good, the pleasant, the wonderful, the bad, and even the ugly, but only real leaders face the music even if they don’t like the tune.       Leadership is not always rosy, and that’s the beauty of it, your ability to stand in faces of challenges, coming in form of tunes, sometimes, it could even become noise because the good and bad tunes play at the same time, it’s now left to you to do the right thing.        Don’t be scared of  assuming leadership positions or even becoming a leader, just prepare for every possible case scenario consider the odds and when you are faced with unpleasant tunes you would be able to deal with them. ...

Many of us would be guilty of this in one way or the other and so if it is a crime many of us are criminals, even though it’s for a right course. Many of us in a bid to console comfort or sympathize with people, we lack words to speak and the next thing that comes to our mouth is “I HAVE SEEN WORSE”.
